FAQ

Answers to our Most Frequently Asked Questions

Do you match online prices?

YES we absolutely do!  We strive to have an “everyday low price guarantee”, but we cannot prevent another company from advertising sale prices on our Sauder products. However, we can control whether or not we beat that advertised price.  Please bring it to our attention if you find any identical Sauder product online for less… We will gladly beat that price for your convenience (If it’s not already lower at our store).

Is your furniture Made In USA?

Yes… 90% of Sauder brand furniture is manufactured in Archbold, Ohio.  This is the same small town where the company was founded in 1934.

Do you offer a warranty on your furniture?

Yes… Sauder provides a 5-Year Limited Warranty, 2-Year Limited Warranty, and 1-Year Limited Warranty on all their products.  The majority of the Sauder products at our Jacksonville store are covered under Sauder’s free 5-Year Good Furniture Warranty.

What Do I use to clean my Sauder product?

Simply clean with your favorite furniture polish sprayed directly onto a cloth, then wipe dry.  Glass cleaner also works well on our EverSheen or Melamine top surfaces.

What is Sauder furniture made of?

An environmentally friendly material called “engineered wood,” a combination of high quality hard wood and soft wood materials which are residuals of other lumber processes.  These materials are bonded together with a synthetic resin, then applied to high heat and pressure.  The result is dense, strong panels which are then laminated and cut into pieces.

Simply put, our products are not solid wood, but instead made from pressed wood materials (composite wood, man-made wood, or manufactured board).  We don’t pretend that our furniture is made from something it’s not.  Some furniture stores will attempt to sell laminate or wood veneer products over softer/cheaper wood materials and call it “solid wood”.  Unfortunately, many customers make these costly purchases thinking they are getting a solid wood product from inside and out, but in reality these customers are getting an item that is not nearly worth their investment. In contrast, our customers know upfront that our products are not “solid wood”, but fortunately for them, our products are not only “Made in USA”, but also come standard with a free 5-year warranty.  This makes purchasing furniture from our store not only affordable, but also reassures our customers are getting a highly practical and well-designed piece of furniture.  We truly believe Sauder Furniture carries the best possible value in the furniture industry.

Does the laminate have a protective coating?

Yes, the laminate finish is applied using a special in-house process that gives the piece of furniture its beautiful finish with a protective coat.  In addition, some Sauder products come with a EverSheen or Melamine top surface. These products are heat, stain, and scratch-resistant.

Are Sauder products water-resistant or waterproof?

Yes and No.  If something is spilled on the surface and is wiped up, no damage will be done.  If the liquid is left on the surface for a long period of time, the board will absorb the liquid and this could cause damage to the board (just like solid wood).

Do you offer shipping outside of Jacksonville, Fl

Yes, we offer shipping to the lower 48 states (This excludes Hawaii and Alaska).

Do you offer Senior Citizen or Military Discounts?

We do not offer any additional discounts in conjunction to our Low Price Promise policy.  Because of this policy we often sell Sauder Furniture well below the intended price point we are aiming for. It is simply to difficult for us to provide any additional discounts in addition to the discounted prices we already offer.  However, we can assure you that we will provide you with best price on Sauder Furniture vs all other competitors of ours… That’s our guarantee.  Please allow us to earn your business!

What tools will I need?

With most assemblies, a #2 Phillips screwdriver, straight edge screwdriver, and a hammer is all that you need.  It may prove helpful during assembly of our larger items to use a power screwdriver or cordless drill.

Do you offer Assembly Services?

Absolutely!  Pick your assembled product up at our Jacksonville store or let us bring it to you.  For a quote or to schedule appointments contact us at 904-288-4448 or stop by the store located at 10950 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl. 32223

Can I pick up my Sauder item assembled at your store or can you assemble the furniture at my home or business?

Yes… You can pick up your Sauder item at our store already assembled or we can bring the item(‘s) to your home or business in boxes and then assemble the furniture onsite.

Do you bring the furniture already assembled?

No… The furniture is brought to your home or business in boxes unassembled (usually by only one technician equipped with a hand cart).  Therefore, the assembly will take place “onsite” (at your home or business), once we arrive for service.

When can I receive assembly service?

The Furniture Co. schedules onsite assemblies Mon – Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Sunday appointments for onsite assembly may be available upon technician availability.  However, you can pick your assembled furniture item up at the store any day of the week.  Click here for Store hours

How do I pay for onsite assembly service?

The furniture Co. collects payment at the store level only.  You can arrange payment for assembly service @ 904-288-4448 or stop by the store @ 10950 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, Fl. 32223. Check, cash, or all major credit cards are accepted.

In addition to paying for the assembly… Are there any additional fees?

A small trip charge will apply when building furniture onsite (regardless if we bring the boxes or not).  Additional charges may apply if boxes need to be carried up stairs.

Do you provide a warranty on the assembly service?

The Furniture Co. provides a 90-day warranty on assembly workmanship.  This should not be mistaken for Sauder’s 5-year Good Furniture Warranty for replacement parts.
